Fab Lab Mission
The Hodag Fab Lab is dedicated to providing students and members of the Rhinelander community with access to modern tools, technology, and learning opportunities that foster creativity, innovation, and hands-on problem solving. Whether you are exploring a new hobby, developing professional skills, or creating a personal project, the Fab Lab offers the resources and support to help you succeed. The Fab Lab was established through grant funding from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the Hodag Schools Foundation as part of a statewide initiative to equip schools with the advanced technologies commonly found in today’s manufacturing and engineering environments. The Engineering Design Process is the foundation of instruction and project development in the Fab Lab, encouraging users to design, prototype, test, refine, and create.
Membership
Individual Community Membership: $125/year
Family Community Membership (anyone under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian): $150 per year
School District of Rhinelander Students: Free
Community members may try the Fab Lab out one time for FREE. To continue using the Fab Lab, please print and complete the Fab Lab Membership Form and turn it in to Fab Lab staff with yearly payment. Thank you.

● Wednesday: 3:00–8:00 PM
Additional Information
Fab Lab staff are available to provide instruction on equipment operation and software. Staff are happy to assist with learning but will not complete projects for patrons. Above basic to advanced computer skills are generally required for most projects. Please check the Hodag Fab Lab Facebook page before visiting, as weather, school activities, or unforeseen circumstances may require temporary closures. Whenever possible, closures will be announced in advance. The Fab Lab will be closed whenever Rhinelander High School is closed. This could be due to inclement weather, holiday breaks, and other circumstances. Please enter the building through Door 22.
