Academic and Career Planning (ACP) is part of Wisconsin’s Education for Employment (E4E) program outlined in s.121.02(1)(m) Wis. Stats., and is sometimes referred to as (administrative rule) PI26. In this guide, we refer to the plan that is required by administrative rule to be published annually by school districts as “ACP/E4E Plan”.

SDR prepares all students, 4K-12, for life after they graduate from the district. We prepare our students for life readiness by providing a comprehensive education that empowers students, integrates information and technology literacy, and exposes them to many different kinds of learning opportunities including academics, fine arts, career and technical education, and academic and career planning activities and experiences. They are measured through Academic Readiness, Career Readiness, and Life Readiness standards:

Individualized ACP Support
All students, grades 8-12, meet individually with their College and Career Counselor to discuss post-secondary planning and courses. Each year, students meet for their ACP conference in the following format:
Grade 8: Meet to schedule courses for high school and discuss post-secondary planning in English ACP lesson with all students
Grade 9: Small group ACP conference
Grade 10: Individual ACP conference
Grade 11: Family Conference
Grade 12: Meet with 3x per school year (Fall, Winter, Spring)
Access for All Students
If a scholar is a child with a disability, the pupil’s academic and career plan will be made available to scholar’s individual education program team. The scholar’s individualized education program team may take the pupil’s academic and career plan into account when developing their transition services and post-secondary transition plan (PTP).
