Core Area #2 - Operational & Financial Stewardship
The Operational budget is in direct alignment to support our district strategic plan through staffing and resources.
The referendum to exceed the revenue limit has been approved for another four years and the tax rate is at the lowest level in over twenty years.
The ten year plan has been updated in conjunction with the new maintenance director. He has also scheduled and/or completed a walk-through of every building with the Principal to identify maintenance needs.
The fund balance increased by $1.48M and is at 46% of our expense level.
We are updating the plans and looking into facility safety upgrades with our law enforcement partners.

Academic and Career Planning at RHS has led to an increase in our 10th, 11th and 12th graders in the areas of Engagement, Hope and Belonging.
A score of 10 (scale of 1-10) was the most frequent score from family and community members when asked if they would recommend SDR to family and friends.
7.4% increase from last year’s survey in the number of respondents that gave SDR a score of 10 out of 10 in “very likely” to recommend the School District of Rhinelander to family and friends.
The top three methods in which families maintain connection to the School District of Rhinelander are via Hodag Dome Activities, the District Website and District Social Media.
The two highest student engagement indicator questions for the district were “I have a best friend at school” and “I have at least one teacher who makes me excited about the future.”
The two highest increases in student engagement indicators from 2021-22 were under the area of Hope questions “I have a great future ahead of me” and “I know I will graduate from High School.”
91% of community dome members indicate the dome adds value to our community.
