Dear JWMS Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
We are thrilled to announce a new and exciting opportunity for your child at James Williams Middle School. Starting Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, we will be launching the JWMS After-School Tutoring Program to provide additional academic support for our students.
In our continued efforts to enhance the learning experience and academic success of our students, we have created this program to offer extra assistance and guidance in various subjects. The JWMS After-School Tutoring Program aims to:
-
Support Academic Excellence: Our dedicated team of tutors will help students understand complex concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams. We want to empower every child to reach their full potential.
-
Promote Confidence and Independence: By offering one-on-one or small group sessions, we aim to foster a sense of confidence and independence in our students, allowing them to take ownership of their learning.
-
Customized Learning: Tutors will do their best to tailor their approach to suit each student's unique needs, ensuring that they receive the personalized support necessary to excel in their studies.
-
A Welcoming Environment: The tutoring sessions will be held within the school premises, creating a familiar and comfortable environment for the students to learn and grow.
The After-School Tutoring Program will run from right after school at 3:15 - 4:30, Monday through Thursdays. Students from grades 6th - 8th are welcome to participate. Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s) will have to provide transportation after each tutoring session.
Participation in the program is entirely voluntary, and there is no cost associated with the program. We strongly encourage you to consider enrolling your child in the JWMS After-School Tutoring Program. Their success is our top priority, and we believe that this program can make a significant difference in their academic journey.
A link will be sent via IC for you to enroll your child and/or we will also have a link on the website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Shari Wendland at 715-365-9220 Ext. 7121 or email wendlsha@rhinelander.k12.wi.us.
We are excited about the potential of this program to make a positive impact on our students’ academic progress. Thank you for your continued support of James Williams Middle School. We look forward to working together with you to help your child thrive.
Sincerely,
Shari Wendland
