- Driver’s License - If you are a member of the Dome, it is not necessary to bring your license. If you are visiting, or would like to purchase a membership, your license is required.
- Membership card - For Community Walking Hours, Open Dome, and Open Turf times, a membership card is required for entry. A membership card is not needed to make court, golf simulator, or batting cage reservations.
- Form of payment = If you have reserved a court, golf simulator, or batting cage, you may pay with a credit card, check or cash at the service desk.
- Water bottle - Only water is allowed inside the Dome. No food nor any other beverage may be brought in.
- Padlock - If you would like to store your belongings in one of our short-term lockers, please bring your own padlock to secure your personal items while you are in the Dome.
- Your sporting equipment - Balls, racquets/paddles, golf clubs, batting helmets, bats, etc. Equipment is not provided by the Dome.

They are not required for those under the age of 18, those participating in adult sports pick up leagues, or special events including most of the weekend tournaments and events such as a craft show, home show, graduation, etc.
The Hodag Dome is owned by the School District of Rhinelander (SDR) and is a shared facility between SDR students, student athletes, and the community.
The daily schedule generally follows the format below, but can change with little notice, and is subject to the SDR sports schedule of games and practices.
***Please check the Dome website or Facebook page prior to any visit to the Hodag Dome to ensure that the Dome is open to the public at that time. Schedule changes will be posted on the website.***
Community Walking Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am-Noon and 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
Reserved Tennis/Pickleball Courts, Golf Simulators and Batting Cages: Monday-Friday 6:00 am-Noon and 6:00 pm-9:00 pm and Sundays 6:00 pm-9:00 pm.
Open Dome: Open Dome time varies based on availability of the facility. Check the Dome website or Facebook page for Open Dome times (if available).
Open Turf: Will be posted weekly depending on schedule and availability. No practices, scrimmages or team events are allowed during Open Turf.
Open Dome: During Open Dome, the Dome is open for community walking and Tennis/Pickleball courts and batting cages are available on a first come, first serve basis. So that all may participate, there is a one hour time limit for courts, and a 30 min for cages. While there is no reservation or reservation fee required, visitors do need a Membership Card. ***The turf is not available during Open Dome times.***
Open Turf: During Open Turf, the Dome is open for community walking and the turf field is available for playing catch, kicking balls, playing frisbee, etc. No practices, games or team sports are allowed during Open Turf times. Courts, golf simulators and cages are not included in Open Turf time.
Yes. Anyone 18 years of age or older is required to check in at the registration desk every time they enter. RHS students are required to sign in when using the Dome for any purpose other than team practice.
Metal cleats are not allowed anywhere in the Dome. Rubber molded cleats are allowed on the turf. Appropriate footwear for indoor use includes tennis shoes, turf shoes, or flats.
The Hodag Dome follows School District of Rhinelander policies. If school is canceled for any weather-related reason, the Hodag Dome will also be closed.
Strollers with large wheel diameters (jogging strollers or car seat/stroller combos) are allowed. Umbrella strollers and others with small diameter wheels are not allowed as they can damage the track. Pets are not allowed inside the Hodag Dome.
Guest passes are available for visitors who would like to visit during Community Walking Hours, Open Dome, or Open Turf times. Cost of a one day guest pass is $5/person for all guests over age 5.

1. Please sign up each adult in your household that would like a card separately. DO NOT add additional registrations to your online cart without entering each family member's account contact information.
2. Please make sure the boxes for Email (and text if you'd like) remain checked under "Account Management" and "Reminders and Schedule Changes". Without this, you won't know if reservation requests are approved.
On your first visit to the Hodag Dome, ask the staff at the registration desk to verify your registration and give you your Membership Card.
If you prefer to sign up for your Membership Card in person, you can do so at the registration desk at the Hodag Dome.
If your child lives within the boundaries of the School District of Rhinelander, they are not required to have a Membership Card.
Children enrolled at Rhinelander High School may use the facility during Community Walking Hours, Open Dome and Open Turf times at no charge, but MUST sign in at the registration desk before entering the Dome.
All children ages 0-18, regardless of residency, may use the Dome during Community Walking Hours, Open Dome and Open Turf times at no charge, but MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian or coach at all times. Parents/Guardians are required to have a Membership Card or purchase a guest pass.

When your reservation time is complete, you must pay at the registration desk prior to leaving. Credit card, check or cash is accepted.
When you submit a reservation request, it is sent via email to the Dome Manager for review. You will receive a text or email stating if your request was approved or declined. (Make sure in your account settings that you check the email and/or text box under “Account Management” and “Reminders and Schedule Changes” so that you will receive correspondence from the Dome.)
The MindBody software used by the Hodag Dome is set to open reservable times only within two weeks of the current date. This is due to the complex schedule of the Dome and the necessity to balance the needs of SDR students, physical education classes, and sports teams. Recurring reservations will not be accepted.
Reservations are made on an hourly basis and the courts, simulators, and cages are in high demand. Please make sure you’re ready to play prior to the start time of your reservation and please leave your area promptly at the end of your reserved time, regardless of whether or not your game is complete. We appreciate your respect for others also wanting to use the facility.

Our Full Turf field is lined for a regulation size football field, full soccer pitch, 2 regulation size softball or youth baseball fields, 4 Futsal fields, or space for larger events. The full turf measures 360' x 195'.
Half of the turf field can be useful for practices, conditioning workouts, 1 regulation softball or youth baseball field, 2 Futsal fields, or space for smaller events. Half of the turf measures 180' x 195' .
- No food or drink, other than water, is allowed into the dome and specifically not on the turf.
- Nothing can be staked down into the turf or poked through the turf membrane.
- Metal cleats are NOT allowed anywhere in the Dome or on the turf. Rubber molded cleats or tennis shoes are allowed on the turf.

To request the Hodag Dome for your next event, please fill out the Hodag Dome Facility Request Form. You will receive an email confirming that your request was submitted. Your request will be reviewed and you will receive a notification from the Dome staff regarding your request.
The reservation rates and priority in scheduling for the turf varies and are detailed in this chart. The concrete tennis court area is can be made available for events. Rates depend upon how many courts are needed.
