Welcome to Rhinelander High School!
I hope this website and all that Rhinelander High School is not only meets, but exceeds your expectations at every turn.
Rhinelander High School strives to prepare ALL students for the life they will lead following high school. Our Vision is to be a welcoming, engaging, and challenging school preparing students for the role they would like to play out in the bigger world. Our RHS mission; "We will provide equitable educational opportunities that focus on growth, relationships, and engagement ."
Building relationships and instilling rigor into all activities is a tried and proven manner by which to raise up young people for the next generation. At Rhinelander High School we do our very best to establish meaningful relationships with students starting right away in 9th grade. Enriching those relationships is the goal of our classroom teachers, club advisors, coaches, lunch staff, office staff, and others down to each last person. We want students to know that they are cared for and that who they are is valued by all.
Rhinelander High School adds rigor to each day by having a very coordinated set of classes for students, from the day they enter our halls right up to graduation. Classes are designed to meet the academic and elective needs and desires of all our students. Our classes are also in line with the community needs and values held. Students graduate year after year prepared for a variety of work places, military life, technical colleges, and four year universities all across the country. Our graduates regularly return with the message that they were well prepared for what they faced in their post secondary life, no matter where they attended or worked.
Rhinelander High School also has a wide variety of athletics and clubs to meet the needs of every student. Over 33% of our student body is participating each season in sports, and another 20% is active in student government, leadership clubs, service clubs, or specific activity clubs. These students accomplish much, lead with integrity, and participate with valor.
We expect our students to represent RHS with dignity and grace wherever they go. In the halls and classrooms students engage themselves in the tasks at hand. The end result is that our graduates continue to leave RHS, but remain in Rhinelander making our town and community a wonderful place to live and work. We need to support one another now more than ever to overcome the challenges that are presented to us on daily basis. We must stay strong together! Never forget, we are and always will be Hodags! #Hodagstrong
