Central Elementary School houses 4K-5th grade students in the Rhinelander community. We have two classrooms of each grade and just under 250 students. The majority of our class sizes are under 20 students per classroom. We are fortunate to have a one to one ratio of computers (Chromebooks) to all K-5 students. This gives the teachers more access to utilize technology when it best fits learning time in the classroom. We have two new classrooms, a new school office, and a more convenient parking lot on the west side of the school.
We will be reviving elementary sports this year. We are looking forward to having 4th & 5th grade students getting to play other community schools in boys basketball, girls basketball, and co-ed volleyball. Central is also a host site for the evening STEM Scouts program. We offer Family Nights, host a spring carnival, and close the year out with our School Olympics on the last day.
We look forward to having an active parent advisory committee (PAC) that helps guide us in supporting students and activities throughout the year. We will hold fundraisers to provide financial assistance for student activities and new equipment & supplies. Central is a place where children can both learn and have fun!
