What is Community Education?

Our Community Education Program offers many evening and weekend classes.  The focus is on Lifelong Learning for all ages!  We keep the lights on during non-school hours so that all in the community can enjoy the school facilities!

Registration

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES.

We encourage the use of our ONLINE REGISTRATION option. We also have a paper registration option by mail or drop-off. 

Instructions for Online Registration:

1. Click on the link for ONLINE REGISTRATION. This will bring you to the MindBody software.

2. If you are new to this system you will need to complete the "Create an Account" section. Please be sure to complete as much of the information as possible, including family members and other relationships. Please write down your username and password so you can remember it for the future. You should only have to create an account one time. PLEASE PROVIDE A PHONE NUMBER AND AN EMAIL ADDRESS when setting up your account. In the event of a class cancellation, we will need this information in order to contact you. 

3. After you have an account set up, make sure you are logged in with your username and password.

4. You can sign up for a class using one of two methods... 

a) You can click on the "ENROLLMENTS" tab near the top of your screen to view a listing of all offerings. After you've found the name of the class you want to sign up for, click on "Sign Up Now!" This will bring you to the reservation screen. BE SURE TO INDICATE WHETHER YOU ARE REGISTERING YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE. Click "Enroll". This will bring you to your Shopping Cart. Check over the information to make sure your order is correct. IF YOU ARE REGISTERING YOURSELF AND ANOTHER PERSON, PLEASE DO NOT JUST CHANGE THE QUANTITY OF THE ITEM YOU ARE PURCHASING. INSTEAD, PLEASE CLICK "CONTINUE SCHOPPING" AND ADD THE OTHER PERSON'S REGISTRATION TO YOUR SHOPPING CART. After all items have been placed into your Shopping Cart, click on "Checkout". Make sure the billing information is complete with your credit or debit card information and click "Place Order". Follow the remainder of the process and a receipt will be emailed to you. 

b) You can also access registration by clicking on the "ONLINE STORE" tab and choosing class listings from the drop-down menu. Again, if you are registering another person (not just yourself), please be sure that you are registering them properly and not just updating the quantity of your item.

Paper Registration Form

If registering by mail or drop-off, please make checks payable to SDR (School District of Rhinelander) and send payment and completed registration form to SDR Community Education Program, 665 Coolidge Avenue - Suite B, Rhinelander, WI 54501.

As a general guideline, payments should be received prior to the registration deadline. We are unable to reserve a class seat without payment accompanying a completed registration form. Classes have a maximum number of spots. Class registration is on a first come first served basis.

Policies

Inclement Weather

Classes may be canceled due to inclement weather. To view cancellations, please visit the School District of Rhinelander website homepage or check local media postings. We will also send a direct email to participants (but only if you've provided us with your email address during registration). If a class is canceled due to weather, we will try to make up the time by rescheduling it for a different day, or the instructor may teach for a longer period of time for the remaining class meetings. If you are unable to attend the make-up dates and times, please let the Community Ed Coordinator know and a credit or a refund will be issued. 

Other Cancellations

A class might be canceled due to an unforeseen circumstance, such as an instructor being ill. In this case, we will attempt to find a replacement instructor. If we are unable to find a replacement instructor, we will try to reschedule the class for a different day or time. If we are unable to reschedule the class, credits or refunds will be issued.

General Refund Policy

The decision to run or cancel a class is often based on the number of registrations/payments. Therefore, refunds are generally not issued to those who drop from a class after the registration deadline.  If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, refunds or credits will be issued to those who have registered.
