Bring Your Own Device

Bring Your Own Device

The School District of Rhinelander is committed to moving students forward in a 21st Century learning environment.  As part of this plan, the School District of Rhinelander is pleased to offer students and families the option to access the SDR guest wireless network using their own technology devices (Chromebooks, laptops, netbooks, iPads etc.) during the learning day.

BYOD allows students the ability to utilize the technology they are most comfortable with, the possibility of expanding technology-enriched learning opportunities to students, and the ability to better stretch District technology resources.  We know students wish to use personalized devices they are familiar with and learning/work tools they will use inside and outside of school.  The School District of Rhinelander is dedicated to the goal of putting tools into the hands of students to help support and enhance education.  We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students and we have developed guidelines to ensure learning remains the key focus.
