BANK Account Statement and Balancing
Exercise
1) First, finish balancing your checkbook (Subtract Debits. Add Credits.)
2) Second, reconcile your bank statement (statement is linked below).
a. Check off the checks and deposits that have cleared the bank on your checkbook registry.
b. Add-in (or subtract) any withdrawals or deposits that appear on your STATEMENT that DON'T appear in your CHECK REGISTER (use the rows below the existing information)
c. Use the Checkbook Balancing Form (linked below) to record the checks and deposits that haven’t cleared the bank yet.
d. Add both columns and do the math at the bottom of the form.
e. The number at the bottom of the form should be the same as the balance on your checkbook registry at the end of the month, after all adjustments are made.
3) To receive credit, PRINT your completed checkbook balancing activity, STAPLE it to your balanced check
register, and hand-in.
