PAC Meeting May 2, 2012
Present: Miki, Katie, Denise, Kathy, Wil, Kristin, Terri, Laura
Treasurer’s Report: $2000—$500 scholarship, $400 for cookouts, ice cream party
Old Business:
Book Fair & marketing for the fair—Schedule made…see next page. Kristin will distribute wish lists to kids and flyers to Terri. Can we borrow cash from petty cash? Terri says possibly. She’ll let us know.
Movie Ticket sales—George hasn’t returned my email.
Gas cards for volunteers—Jeff Santy, Sharon Larson, John Santy, Kathy Larsen; Miki motioned that we buy $25 gas cards for these volunteers. Kathy seconded. Miki will pick them up when she drops off menus.
End of year activities—(yearbook signing & ice cream party)—Terri asked if we could have the yearbook signing/ice cream party on June 1? Last day of school is June 7. We’re going to CAVOC on June 6. Decided: Ice cream party is on June 1 and we’re serving floats—root beer, cola, orange.
New Business:
Staff appreciation—week of May 7—last year we did Zippy’s. Miki will go to Zippy’s and Bucketheads and bring us menus and the staff will pick. Decided: we’ll go out to lunch on our Home Study Day and bring the PAC checkbook with us.
Wil’s money—requesting $300 for First Aid/CPR course for whole class so they can get certified before the Apostles Trip—the fee includes a set of $16 textbooks for the school. Kathy moves to fund the $47 ($32 for the cards and $15 for the fee). Denise seconded. Katie motioned to purchase two text books. Denise seconded. Total is around $80. Passed unanimously.
Checkbook—needs to be turned over to two new signers.
Food for CAVOC—Terri will order the food for us.
