Summer School Information

Elementary Summer School

Elementary Summer School will be held June 12th to July 7th. 

Summer school will be an extension of our present course offerings as well as enrichment programming and tutoring. We will offer flexibility and tailoring of curriculum and instruction to meet student abilities. 


Free breakfast and lunch will be offered. While registration is free, some classes for grades entering 3-5 will have an additional fee that must accompany the registration forms. Free class registration is available to students on free lunch and reduced class registration for students on reduced lunch. Please make checks payable to The School District of Rhinelander. 


Transportation for summer school will be provided by the school district.  


Crescent School will host students 4K through 2nd grade. Pelican School will host students entering 3rd through 5th.  

The School District of Rhinelander is also offering a free summer food program

Crescent School

Breakfast 7:45 am - 8:10 am

Lunch 12:00 pm  - 12:30 pm (Lunch will be served in shifts during the last class of the day)

Pelican School

Breakfast 8:00 am - 8:20 am

Lunch 11:15 am - 12:30 p.m. (served in three shifts during 4th hour)

James Williams Middle School Summer School

James Williams Middle School (JWMS) will be offering a variety of classes this summer as part of the summer school program. These opportunities are for students who will be rising to grades 6th, 7th and 8th in the coming fall. 

The middle school summer school will meet for twenty (20) days, starting on June 12 and finishing July 7.  Classes will meet between 8:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. TRANSPORTATION FOR SUMMER SCHOOL WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE DISTRICT.

Lunch is free and available to all students from 11:30 am - 12:15 pm.

Our summer school program objectives include:

A.  To build skills in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies for all students.

B. To provide math and reading interventions to move students towards grade level proficiency. 

C. To allow re-taking a course and/or earn academic/attendance points on grade advancement policy. 

D. To provide enrichment opportunities for all students to develop their skills and talents.

RHS Summer School

Summer School at Rhinelander High School will be held June 12th - July 7th from 8:00 am - 12:00.  A free breakfast will also be served from 8:00 am - 10:00 am.  Click here to find more information about the Free Summer Food Program.
